To date, ALL tests by the Town, many of which were conducted just last year, have registered the presence of banned synthetic pesticides.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the products detected have been banned in Quebec for residential lawn care for more than 15\u00a0years<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the Town detects a prohibited pesticide on a homeowner\u2019s lawn, the latter will be informed by registered mail, in accordance with a procedure in place since last year.<\/p>\n

The tests are carried out in a ministry lab and the Town refers any violations in the Pesticides Management Code<\/i> to the relevant authorities. Results can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months depending on how busy the lab is.<\/span><\/p>\n
